With my extensive experience in the construction industry and hospitality design, mj design seeks to work with owners to facilitate their construction project and deliver a high end finished product. I created mj design with a goal of combining my experience as an interior designer and my experience of construction project management to be an asset to the owner of any construction project. My unique skill set is what sets me apart from my peers and allows me to be a bridge between owners and the design and construction team for building projects.

About Me
I am a registered Interior Designer and a Construction Project Manager. I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Art with an emphasis in Interior Design from the University of Georgia and graduated in 1996 Magna Cum Laude. I have over 11 years of Hospitality Design experience and was with R.C. Mathews Contractor in Nashville for 17 years.
Throughout my career, I have held many different positions from Senior Design Associate to Construction Project Manager. I now work to combine this unique skill set to help owners navigate, design, and manage their construction project.
I am comfortable discussing plans with the architect, coordinating interior details in the field and selecting finishes with the client, all while maintaining the schedule and construction budget. I am a driven individual with exceptional organization and attention to details of all areas of a construction project.
